Sound-wise, this cymbal is somewhere between a big crash and a china. Its sound clearly has a trashy edge, and it has relatively short sustain. Meinl recommends the B18TRC for quick, punctuating accents to make full use of this Vintage Trash Crash's distinct sound. Furthermore, it produces a wide spread and has excellent dynamic response. The B18TRC Vintage Trash Crash can get pretty loud when it has to, without ever becoming too shrill or high-pitched. It's a professional, yet quirky cymbal from the minds at Meinl.

Heerlijke cymbaal die kort en fel aanwezig is, maar niet gaat overheersen. Had eerst mijn twijfels omdat ik met spoed een nieuwe cymbaal moest uitzoeken, maar deze is zijn geld zeker waard. Speelt zeer lekker door zijn dunheid, en is eventueel ook zeer goed toe te passen in een stack. Ik heb zelf twee tapejes aan de onderzijde bevestigd om de cymbaal nog iets 'doder' te laten klinken, maar dat is een kwestie van smaak.
